Climates differ in different parts of the earth because of the angle of light that hits that particular part of the earth, how much heat is distributed to that part of the earth by winds and currents, and the elavation of the land.

This is the result of several different factors. The most important factor is the axial tilt of the Earth. At any given time of year, part of the Earth points more directly toward the sun than other parts do, and therefore experiences greater warmth. The equatorial regions on the average get more warmth, and fact the sun more directly, than regions closer to either the north or south poles. In addition, the arrangement of oceans, mountains, and other topographical features also affects climate. Even vegetation affects climate.if the area is near the sea,it will have a fine/balanced climate. Ares near the mountains will have a cool climate as the areas are higher. The areas on the poles will be freezing cold as they are very far from the sun and equator.

because if a place is closer to the equator it would be warmer as sunlight (which carries heat) would be shining directly on it, that place would also have more hours of sunlight.

What are the 5 types of global climate?

The Köppen Climate Classification System is the most widely used system for classifying the different types of climates in the world. Its categories are based on the annual and monthly averages of temperature and precipitation. The Köppen system recognizes five major climatic types; each type is designated by a capital letter.A - Tropical Moist Climates: all months have average temperatures above 18° Celsius.B - Dry Climates: with deficient precipitation during most of the year.C - Moist Mid-latitude Climates with Mild Winters.D - Moist Mid-Latitude Climates with Cold Winters.E - Polar Climates: with extremely cold winters and summersThere are also 8 biomes. they are tropical forest, savannah, dessert, temperate grassland, temperate forest, chaparral, coniferous (pine) forest, and tundra. some people may count high mountain and artic as two more biomes, but since they have almost no plant life, they're not really biomes.
