CNG stations are also much safer than petrol stations. Another useful property of CNG is that it is a gas as compared to gasoline; in fact, it's lighter than air. So in case there is a gas leak the gas will diffuse rapidly into the atmosphere leaving less room for a discharge or an explosion to take place. These factors make CNG not only environmentally friendly as compared to traditional fuels but also safer for human and environmental health. It is a useful alternative fuel because it has also created employment for a lot of people in the CNG industry and has reduced the problems faced by countries because of the high oil import bills. Engines running on cng always produce less power, but run cleaner, and might have less of an environmental impact or carbon footprint than the production of gasoline.
