Croatia weather is influenced by two climatic zones. Continental and Mediterranean.Continental clima is in continental Croatia where summers are hot and dry while winters are cold and snowy. Average winter temperature is 1 c and average summer temperature is 20 c. Summer is from June to September. Winter is from December to March. Mediterannean climate is in the coastal areas of Croatia.Those areas are siginificantly warmer then continental Croatia where summers are dry and hot while winters are mild and with rare snow.
Hungary has a continental climate with hot, dry summers and cold winters.
Minsk has a continental climate: warm summers and cold winters.

Ocean current (polar and tropical) and the prevailing winds associated with those currents always make the coastal climate milder.

Continental Climates
In terms of climate, Greece is similar to California. The coastal regions have mild winters and hot dry summers. The highlands and mountains have colder, wetter winters and hot summers.
A climate that has warm summers and cold winters is called a continental climate.
Port Alegre is warmer in the winters as the coastal regions usually have a warmer climate
