This as it stands is a meaningless question as you would have to know which police in which country in what time period. The answer if this is global is of course hundreds of thousands if not millions if you count what has happened under oppresive regimes throughout history.

∙ 11y agoThere is always an explanation. Usually, the cops kill when they feel their lives are in danger. But cops are human, and they can get involved in criminal activities, hold grudges, or wind up in bad relationships, and in a weak moment, they may kill someone they blame for personal problems. Of the ones who run afoul of the law themselves, there is a certain number who feel they are immune to the law. That said, departments try to look for signs of such trouble early and handle it before it becomes serious.
