Well one of the reasons country people need guns is the eradication of pests that destroy crops.
Another reason is some country people use guns as a means to support them selves and to erradicate the feral animal population. You can earn good money with a gun hunting pigs.
And finally, but really not the most important is the fact that most, not all, most country people that used to have guns, used them responsibly to keep themselves occupied. We don't have cunema's or shopping centres to keep ourselves occupied.
And yes, im from the country, born and bred, but have lived the past 10 years in major cities. And if you don't believe me about how boring it can get. Go way out the country and try and stay occupied for a week.
