They do not 'attract' sunlight but the color black absorbs ultra-violet heat rays while whites and light colors reflect them; try searching for "the color spectrum" -

it doesnt attract it. it absorbs more of it. black can absorb more light than white does, because white reflects light, making it look bright. black doesnt reflect any, making it dark. this is why it is smarter to wear light colors on a hot day instead of dark colors.
