Why do blood sugar levels need to be controlled?

they have to watch what they eat in case they have too much sugar, starch or fat. they have to avoid all white foods. this is to control their blood glucose level.I am a type 1 diabetic, if i don't watch what I eat I will die. Type 1 Diabetics have a pancreas that does not produce insulin.Type 2 diabetics have a pancreas that still produces insulin but not nearly enough. Insulin aids the body in metabolizing the food you eat. Lack of insulin in the body to correctly control food can cause a dangerous rise in blood sugar levels that over time can cause a mirage of dangerous reprocautions. It is the # 1 cause of kidney failure, amputation due to nerve damage in the lower extremities and leading cause of blindness and rates as the 2nd leading cause of heart failure. Both type 1 and type 2 diabetics MUST adhere to a strict diet restricted of a high carbohydrate, high white sugar refined foods.They MUST follow a balanced, portion controlled diet strictly limiting in or omitting these foods unless they are experiencing a low blood sugar attack in witch case sugar and carbohydrates are a necessary form of survival.

hi im a type one diabetic and have been for some time it is important to control your blood sugar levels because it may cause you to have either hypoglycaemias or hyperglycaemias. hyperglycaemias if constant for a long time can cause blindness,constant need for water and your body cannot fight infections which can result in amputations especially in the feet and legs. Hypoglycaumias can be very dangerous and cause you to collapse which untreated could lead to death.
