Most carnivores (and even some rodents) will do this!

They bury the "Leftovers" to protect it from being stolen by another animal!

Burying it in the dirt also helps preserve it so it doesn't spoil as fast.

Cats will also do this! (remember that toy mouse you found under the couch?)

It's kind of like how people put leftover food in the freezer!
