Older people were young and they've had all the experiences you have ahead of you. They know the game, they know the dangers and they know human nature. They know the risks.
They know that many boys will carelessly get a girl pregnant and the girl is stuck with the burden of raising the child. They know some boys will mistreat girls emotionally and physically.
I'm not saying all boys are bad but I am saying that when elderly don't want boys to go along with girls, they have a good reason for saying so. You can think that stinks but once you've played the game and gotten old, you'll want to protect those young girls too.
