This is a natural occurance known as fight or flight. When a person encounters a situation that requires action, such as a person with a gun the body reacts to this. Not only dangerous situations but wen we get nervous, etc. The "hot" comes from blood flowing quicker due to adrinaline.

I don't really think either gender is superior, but there are certain things that guys are better at, and there are certain things that girls are better at.

I would say that girls are just as nervous SOMETIMES, not all the time. Some girls are more mature than some guys.
