To let their defenseman (or whoever is icing the puck) know that the icing call hasn't been waved off by the referee.
Hail
I believe they call it Frosting.
When the puck is fired the length of the ice, or is "dumped" into the opponents zone, the referee must call icing if the puck has passed two red lines and goes untouched.
Icing
The team committing the icing infraction cannot change lines until the after the following face-off takes place, where as the non-offending team is permitted a line change.
scoop
In fiction (you can't really raise the dead) they call those people necromancers (necro means death or dead etc.)
I think a little over 60%. It's difficult to call on it cause you have to count goalies too. Check the NHL site.
hunch?
A pitcher glove, short stop, 2nd base, 3rd base and outfielders are usally all the same. 1st base and catcher are the only people who shouldn't use a "fielders glove" as most players call it.
no call. it is only catcher's interference if the catcher's equipment gets in the way of a swing.
When it is your turn to check, call, raise, or fold all you have to do is say "raise" and place the bet according to the game limits. If it is a $3 round, you would raise by $3.
