my guinea pigs used to make two main types of noise, one a sort of chirrup when his whole body would sort of shudder with the sounds, that one seemed most when he was happy ie saton my knee eating some sweetcorn or something. and a sort of higher pitched whistling which seemed to be his sort of way saying hello, when we walked near his cage he would make that noise and run over to us. also my guinea pig makes little grunt noises. That means she is Hungary because when i gave her more food she stopped and ate, she was alot happy after that!!
Guinea pigs squeak and squeal when they are excited- high pitched whistling is often done when they are happy to see their owner at the end of a work day or when they anticipate getting treats. When being played with and held, their squeaks may seem whiny, but they are usually just talking to you. When Guinea pigs are scared they usually don't make any noise OR they chatter their teeth when angry or frightened. Guinea pigs are very social and if you talk to them and sing to them they often will join in! When guinea pigs are happy and healthy they will run around making little rutting noises like low pitch low volume squeaks- often when they are exploring they will talk, squeak, and popcorn (hop up and down) when happy.
If you do a web search for "guinnea pig noise" you will find a whole wack of sites that people have recorded the sounds on for you to listen to and compare with your pigs. I found this very helpful when I first got my guinea pig.
When they have a very loud high-pitched sound or sequel it means they're hungry, thirsty, or want something.
The sound they make when you pet them or touch them means that they like whatever you're doing, but if you a low almost humming noise means beware i don't like that.
If you hear them chatter their teeth that also means beware or if you have 2 guinea pigs it means they are competing for dominant.
Guinea pigs are herd animals, and sounds are their primary means of communication and maintaining social rank. There are many various sounds which they produce, but most common are:

Guinea Pigs noises mean many things. My Guinea Pig, has made probably 10 different noises. If you stroke them backwards (towards their head) then they make a low purr like a cat. That is just kind of a way to show there are angry and want you to stop. If you hold them to long, or in an unsafe way, they start to make a squeal that either signals pain or "danger". If a Guinea Pig kind of jumps into the air like it's having a little spaz attack, it is called Popcorning. They think of it as a leap of joy, so it is OK if the to "popcorn". If the Guinea Pig is sitting in it's cage, and it makes sort of the same squeal as if it was in pain, it means they are trying to get your attention. But this squeal is more calm and "peaceful". There is one more I know. If it is a sudden "humming" noise, it means they are happy or they like whatever you are doing. THIS INFORMATION IS %100 PERCENT TRUE!!!!! I read it from an Animal Planet magazine on Guinea Pigs.
They have different noise all the time and they all mean different things.
either your guinea pig is annoyed or angry or it is just cause he is liking it and enoying it
No It Isn't
pigs make many different types of squeaking noises to express themselves. sadly we don't understand their language D:>
They make noises through their larynx, the "voice box" in guinea pigs and humans alike that allows us to make noises and talk.
The noises that pigs make are their method of communication with one another and with humans. They make the noises with their voice boxes, and scientists believe they have a large number of different sounds they are able to make.
