Horses pig root for many sorts of reasons the first is from discomfort for instance if a horse had a saddle that wasn't fitting properly it would probably feel like something pinching you or having something heavy on a weak part of your back pig rooting ( Or Bucking or rearing) is their way of saying, "That hurts!" The second reason could be just being frightened of you or something else and they either try to get you of if your scaring them or try and kick what ever scaring them.
If your horse has a a bucking, pigrooting or rearing problem get a saddle fitting to check if your gear is fitting and if your horse stil bucks rears and pigroots get an experienced rider to check the horse out.
