Why not? They are easy to make and can be used to intimidate and threaten one's perceived enemies.
They did build Armies as well as bombs. They may have used bombers first but they built up armies to attack Germany.
Los Alamos (New Mexico)
German bombs.
because they can sniff bombs and food if your a hobo.
Well, fusion bombs are, but fusion reactors should not be (if we can build them).
Bombs are simply things and thus have no morality; of themselves they are neither good nor bad. It is the uses humans, which have morality, put them to that are good or bad.
basically the same as fission bombs but as the yield of fusion bombs are typically much higher the effects are typically much higher.Note: it is possible to build clean low yield fusion bombs with far less fallout than similar yield fission bombs, but the prompt radiation effects are worse.
so if some other country nukes us we can nuke them and us having the biggest bombs is intimadating to other countries with nukes
If they really want to build them they will, everyone else that wanted them has them.
They feared Germany had the technology to build nuclear bombs
Yes.
The early ones were. However there are now small H-bombs with yields as low or lower than the original atomic bombs. They are cheaper to build per kiloton yield.
