Sugar is a natural need of human being, a source of quick energy, so people are naturally drawn to the taste of sweet. The US has alot of imports and exports so many items can be found there. Sugar, is technically a drug. It can start off with sugar on your cereal. The body has a craving- the same type of addiction to that of nicotine or others. The pattern continues. The more you eat the more you want the more you want to the more you eat- until people eat sweets only. For the US sugar is found in almost everything so people sub conciously miss it.
