A long time ago Norwegians made a heavy duty multipurpose hunting instrument called a hakapik. The hakapik, with a medium length handle, has a hammer on its end and a large curved hook on the other side. The hammer side is used to kill seals; the hook is used to drag the seal's body. Many animal rescue groups decry this barbaric practice which is still done every year in some countries.

well, beagles have an excellent sense of smell. Beagles used to be used in a hunting "game" called beagling. The hunters would let there beagle go and follow them on horseback while the beagle madly searches for a rabbit.

Trained elephants were used to hunt tigers because the elephants transported the hunters, gave the hunters protection from the tigers due to their height and allowed the hunters a safer, clearer shot at the tigers. A trained elephant was also a symbol of prestige to the owner.

Some hunters use a muzzle loader because it offers more of a challenge than using a modern rifle. Also there is a different season for muzzle loaders therefore you can hunt during that season with it.
