This doesn't Happy to me! Then again I don't know if I've ever eaten small portions of food, plus, are you talking about on an empty stomach? That might just be a stomach cramp due to your body expecting alot of food and getting acid ready when there isn't that much, next time just eat milk (a base to counteract the acid) and bread (to absorb acid) when you are going to eat a small amount, let us know if it helps!
Sometimes a dog will eat to quickly and puke as a result of it. I had a cat that used to do that but not a lot. If it only happens once in a while I'd be willing to bet that it may because of eating to quickly. Especially if you own more than one dog.
If it happens more often than that then I would take the dog to the vet to make sure he doesn't have an intestinal or stomach problem. Dogs can swallow things sometimes that may block or damage their innards which may cause this problem. Does the dog have any problems other than puking after she eats? Like diarrhea?
When u eat food right when you go into a twisty turny mountain and read a book at the same time that is called CARSICKNESS!
Your cat is probably puking after eating because you might not have bought the right food for your cat, or you might of been feeding too much.
Another Answer:
Check with your vet. Most of the time it is because a cat is over eating, or the cat cannot digest the food.
The best way to take care of this is to put your cat on a feeding schedule. Pick some time 8 - 12 hours apart. My cats used to puke a lot, but ever since I put them on a feeding schedule they don't do it as much. You can also buy special foods to help this, or maybe te kind you bought isn't that good.
I used to buy Meowmix, but now I buy The Goodlife recipe. It is about $10 for 8 pounds, which for two cats usually lasts 2 or 3 weeks.
About the feeding schedule:
My cats eat at 10:00 am - 10:30 am and 9:00 pm - 9:30 pm. Leave out a tiny little bit, like maybe 20 little food pieces in-between feeding times and before bed, that way if your cat is hungry she/he has something to snack on.
DisClaimer: I am no where near a vet, I'm just writing this from expeiance. Sometimes cats puke for different reasons than I put, so please talk to your vet first.
Maybe the food you're eating isn't agreeing with you and you could be allergic to something. You could have an eating disorder if you don't eat enough or eat too much. Bulimia is an eating disorder in which you keep eating a lot to throw up your food.
Ayraayra: There are also several medical conditions that could lead to this including; Celiac disease, in which the body can't tolerate gluten, or any kind of intestinal blockage, if this continues I would recommend going to the doctor and having them refer you to a specialist.
