Most likely it's because you have a chemical imbalance either from drug addiction or from a mental addiction. These type of things cause of to feel pain that others might not feel. It's 1am and I just got done crying because I'm not learning Japanese as fast as I want to. Really though the truth is that I've only be taking lessons for a week, I'm a slow learner and I was a little discouraged when I tried to speak Japanese to my Japanese girlfriend and she couldn't understand what I was saying. But crying about it is unreasonable. I did it because I just stopped drinking alcohol but I've heard of others that do the same thing because they are addicted to being loved.
Advice: Conquer the addiction and it won't be long before you stop crying at night.
