More people than you think do this. It's okay but sometimes be careful It is believed that you are actually helping your immune system and keeping your nose clean. Some times it becomes a habit because you did it so much. This can hurt you though because you have a small tiny bit of getting sick. Also you can hit your membrane and cause a nose bleed. The nosebleed won't be bad and you really wont get sick. Digging for gold my friend has it's benefits but don't tell anyone you do it.
I've eaten my own boogers every day for nearly my entire life. When I was a toddler, I was one in very few people to find mucus appetizing. I learned that it is located in the nose, and started digging the stuff out with my finger. This continued on a daily basis and I know I'll do it for the rest of my life. If you start the habit, it's hard to stop no matter what people tell you.
