iso means same.

Isobars connect points with the same pressure.

You cannot (at one and the same elevation) have both higher and lower pressures connecting at a point.

The atmosphere does not have pockets of high pressure enveloped inside volumes of low pressure or vice versa (we are talking about situations where the pressure from cataclysmic events such as explosions or volcanic eruptions have had time to dissipate).
