Most likely because they are Muslim. I have kurdish friends and they say if they marry a English girl there Parents will kill them etc. Because they think English girls wont stay with you for long and only want sex, but kurdish girls are there for life once they marry them they can't divorce each other or she cant cheat. They think English or any other girls that's not from there country will do that.

As a Kurdish from east of Kurdistan religion doesn't matter for us. if a Kurdish man prefers to marry a Kurdish girl that's because he thinks Kurds are more loyal but nowadays it is proven that somtimes girls from other ethnics live in Iran are more loyal than Kurds; for example Azary Turks,Arabs, baluchs and turmans are more loyal.
