Regulations are created to benefit a nation's society as a whole. At times, however, the regulations may be too strict or not strict at all. For the most part companies in a free market economy are in favor of fewer regulations. The main reason is that most of the time, following regulations that are too strict costs too much money. That would be the position of the companies.
