Girl hamsters are territorial and also protective of their young so they will fight other hamsters. Most hamsters (excluding dwarves) prefer to live alone and may fight if caged with another hamster.
Because Syrian Hamsters cannot be kept in the same cage. They need separate cages or one of them will die.
Syrian hamsters are solitary so females will attack each other, males will attack each other and males and females will attack each other. They can cause each other serious injury or even kill each other.
Their solitary nature develops as they mature so they are fine as babies but once they reach 5-6 weeks of age they will start fighting.
The exception is when a female is in season, which happens around every 4 days, then she will not attack a male and will allow him to breed with her instead.
Female hamsters are technically considered to be more aggressive than male hamsters. Although that is not always true, the female hamster has a motherly instinct whether or not she has young. But, in most cases, it isn't the gender of hamster that makes them more aggressive.
Female hamsters may NOT fight. Only the males have a tendency to fight.
why do male hamsters fight?
Not a good idea. It's best to put the rat in a separate cage. Rats and hamsters fight like you would never believe, trust me.....
Hamsters do not socialise with other hamsters, unlike other domestic pr, specificets. Hamsters fight other hamsters in the wild when one gets in to the others' territory. They will bite eachother, specifically on butts!
Yes two female hamster can fight but not as violent or often as male hamsters. female hamsters can get in rarely any fights
Hamsters prefer to live alone so they might fight
Some hamsters live happily and don't fight all their lives. It depends on what breed you have. Yes hamsters kill each other because mine killed my other one. Keep an eye on them at all times and if they start playfully fighting it's best to split them up just in case Hope I helped x
if they are syrian hamsters, yes they will! and they sometimes even kill each other however, if they are dwarf hamsters, they will usually get along if they are in groups
Yes. Female hamsters, or girl hamsters, will also fight. They aren't any better with the fighting thing. Syrian hamsters of any gender will eat each other if put in one cage. Dwarf hamsters, on the other hand, can live with each other with a daily mini-quarrel.
Girl hamsters behave best they are more calm. Boy hamsters like to fight
If they are kept together, yeah. If they are brother dwarf hamsters they may not fight but if they are Syrian hamsters they will kill each other.
Depends If its a girl or boy if its a girl it will either mate or fight if its a boy they probably will fight! hope i helped!
no
Well, hamsters really should not be put in a cage with other hamsters as they fight with each other
Yes, if they are mature, they will fight to the death. However, they can live with each other when they are still babies. {This is why it is hard to breed hamsters.}
no, teddy bear hamsters are very territorial and will fight the other hamster.
probably, syrian hamsters are solitary creatures, but i supose like any other creature, you can allways try, becuase it depends on the nature of those hamsters. Try gradually introduing them to each other, then put them together and see how they get on, move them into seperate cages if they start to fight, check regually for wounds if they live together. Dwarf hamsters are generally better for living in pairs.
yes.. either that or they'll fight until the baby dies.
Yes you can hamsters do not fight with each other unless their mad at each other
