I haven't had this problem with my S70 yet, but generally when your warning light cluster lights up like a Christmas tree the first place to look is your alternator.
Next best bet would probably be the brake control module, they are prone to failure and can affect the shift indicator, abs, trac light, speedometer, and other warnings as well.
