there are 10 lacrosse players per team playing. 3 attackers, 3 midfielders, 3 defenders, and a goalie
The job of the center mid is to play the whole field. They go on offense and defense, but they must remember to stay in the middle of the field. If you have only three mids then they are responsible for the offense, defense, and the whole middle of the field. If you have 4 midfielders, then you usually have a offensive mid, and defensive mid. One playing more offense, and one playing more defense. Or you will have one playing right center and one playing left center.
I watch football but I don't really know how many play the role of midfielders.
Midfielders
Usually in formations they are in the middle, but when it comes down to playing they will be up and down the pitch
There isn't much of a disadvantage if any, given you play it smart. In your first 4, you need to put tour quick defenders on the outside, and if your playing stopper sweeper put your slowest defender in the stopper position. Then your center midfielders need good ball control and the outsides need to be able to run with the ball and cross it. Then put remaining guys up top.
kaka and Schweinsteiger ofc.
