Why do monsters attack first in almost every battle of Adventure Quest?

They do not always attack first its based on your Luck Stat if yours is low you have a low chance of getting first move then the monsters.The game is sort of random when it picks even when its basing it on your luck vs there's and chance.

Yes, of course. There's no reason to think he can only attack monsters that were present at the beginning of the battle phase, or before his first attack is declared. If monsters are summoned during the same battle phase, by any effect, he may attack them.

The "Battle Monsters" button in Battleon is the Random Adventure. the terror set quest is also random because the guy is weird. or on the map find terror set and go there.

Either double click the monster and then click the different attacks you have in your attack class (will vary according to your currently equipped class) or left click the monster, click 1 one your keyboard to auto attack and 2,3,4,5 for your other attacks and 6 to use a potion if you have one equipped.
Can you attack with all of your E hero Monsters then while still in battle phase mask change and attack with that monster?
Yes. The battle phase hadn't ended yet, and since the new monster hadn't attacked that turn, it can now declare an attack too.
