That's not true. I'm a teenager and I still watch Cartoons and I don't mind other people that watch them as well.
There are cartoons oriented toward teens and adults. Adult Swim (late nights on Cartoon Network) is specifically designed for people 18 and older.
Either they are boring, or they are just plain not cool.
---
It has been embedded into many teenagers' and adults' minds that cartoons are for children. Therefore, they will dislike cartoons based on that alone. But there are still many teens and adults who enjoy cartoons. Among the older crowd, South Park and Family Guy are popular, as are anime shows.
Its concidered that many cartoons are targeted at a certain age group. When passing out of that group its expected that teens will start to look at programming of a higher complexity.
In truth, we dont grow out of them, we still enjoy certain ones that held our interest as children. Many will not admit it but in truth theyll watch if they ahve the opportunity.
Because 90% or more of cartoons shown today are crap.
Like Scooby-Doo. I mean, really? Pushing a century of history of cartoons, and Cartoon Network thinks Scooby-Freaking-Doo is so fantastic that it deserves approximately half their programming time? (Disclaimer: I stopped watching Cartoon Network for precisely this reason, so they may have gotten better. Then again, they may have put on Jabberjaw instead. If you are mercifully ignorant of Jabberjaw, it's essentially Scooby-Doo underwater with a shark mascot that is, if possible, even MORE annoying than Scooby and Scrappy Doo combined.)
This isn't new: 90% of cartoons back in the day were crap too (vide supra for two examples), but adults remember the 10% that were good. Try asking an adult about Rocky and Friends (in particular, the Fractured Fairy Tales segments were hilarious), or Underdog, or any of the cartoons from the 50s and 60s in which Goofy attempts to play sports.
So what's good now? There are quite a few older fans of My Little Pony (believe it or not), and I personally kind of like Adventure Time.
"Most" adults don't hate cartoons. They may not be interested in them anymore, but there's no reason to believe they "hate" them.
Either they are sad and have no sense of humor or they are just boring
Interest difference
because they hate the sound
becuse they are too grown
They teach us that cartoons don't explain the world around us
Typically, cartoons are thought to be for children, and if they are watching cartoons for long periods of time, they could be considered fat slobs.
alot of people will see it. probably adults or teens
no it may be stange but i wouldnt say morally wrong.
because adults consider Johnny Test as a wast of time and they think that the information in the shows don't have a purpose in human life... they also dont enjoy children having fun because they are jealous cus we dont have to do work
because some cartoons can be to dumb for adults
Because it becomes "uncool" to like cartoons after a certain age. It's silly, really.
not all adults hate cartoons, my dad for instance. He absolutely LOVES tom and jerry and other stuff on cartton network and boomerang. he just doesnt watch them because he has better stuff to do. thats the excuse most adults use.
They don't. There are animated programs oriented towards teens and adults.
Of course they can, people who hate Johnny Test will hate cartoons
Because it's a site for Adult "stuff" only
These teens & adults probably think you are too old to watch these or they think that those shows are stupid. Or possibly they are just being immature.
Heck no! I guess it depends on the cartoon but for the most part absolutely not.
u tell then just because they dont like watching cartoons that dont give them a reason to not like you
Adults enjoy their children's enjoyment of cartoons. There do exist cartoons made specifically for adults. "Family Guy" is probably the best example. In any event, adults and children do not have the same taste in cartoons.
They think that people like that have absolutely no life.
They don't. There are MANY cartoons for adults (though most of them tend to be animes).
