Why do muslims resist the temptation to have the book translated?

Quran has been translated to many languages over the centuries and intrepreted in many ways by scholars. However it can not be said that those translated versions of Quran are the same as Quran itself because Quran is the word of Allah and its translation is our interpretation of it. Due to fears that some people would impose thier personal intrepretation of Quran as the word of Allah on other people, it has been agreed by Islamic Scholars that translations of Quran into other languages are not the same as the original text and can not be distributed as words of God separated from the Original text.
