It's called charm, deception and manipulation, only the victim can see the real "person". Walk away while you can, things don't get better, they get worse. From my own personal experience, my ex was like that. Remember they want to be idolized not just by you but by friend relations as well. It would be my guess the know which boundaries they can break and get away with. Friends are less likely to put up with the same abuse as someone who is in love with them would. Also, Narcissits don't do intimacy they run from it. With friends they aren't faced with that so they don't really feel the need to push or throw them away. Just my opinion.
Sometimes. Narcissists want to be waited on and catered too. Run!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It also requires fostering a culture of inclusivity, empathy, and respect for diversity.
this can reflect you treatment of other people because you could: a. treat people the same as people have treated you b. or treat people as you would treat your most favorite person in all history

A narcissist may ignore you at times despite liking you because they prioritize their own needs and desires above others. They may ignore you to exert control, manipulate you, or maintain a sense of power in the relationship. This behavior allows them to keep you at a distance while still feeling in control of the situation.
