I don't know. But I heard from a naturopath it has something to do with magnesium. All I know is that I've been clean since July 8th 2011 and I'm still fiending for chocolate like no one's business. Ah, to nod off inside a doorway with a chocolate bar in one hand. That'd be bliss.
By the way. I found out that Hot Chocolate mix stirred into vanilla yogurt is AMAZING!
Sugar! our bodies crave it.

No. Chocolate has sugar in it, but chocolate itself is not a sugar.
starchy foods are bad carbs, which produce sugars, sugar in turn produces the crave , and the more starches, are plain white sugar you eat the more your body will crave
JUST because of Chocolate? probably none. Chocolate, while mostly sugar and plant fats, is a) good for you - chocolate is a good antioxidant and can lower high blood pressure and b) too expensive to eat a lot of. Chocolate addicts however might be addicted to other sweets as well, in addition to other good tasting foods, which often are very unhealthy.
Milk chocolate contain more sugar.
That depends on the chocolate and gum - and especially on how much chocolate. In general though, chocolate will have more sugar.
No its made of sugar milk, chocolate flavoring, and chocolate
Sugar free chocolate will always be the best chocolate to buy for diabetes. Since diabetes cannot process sugar normally, sugar free is the ideal chocolate for them.
Us women crave on chocolate when they are on a certain time of their period because they are probably pregnant. Why did I say that ? Because women and some times little girls or teenagers like to crave on something in the sweetish family (like oreos , glazed donuts ,chocolate cake ,etc;) so when they have their baby the baby wont be pail or skinny it would weigh maybe 5 pounds or more. That is just me because i have lots of experience (I have 3 children not to pretty when i scarfed down that humongous chocolate glazed cake).
Most addicts are found to be hypoglycemic. This condition may have existed before they started taking drugs. Basically all drugs addicts, whatever chemical they are using, are after serotonin, a chemical that the body produces from food sources and that makes them feel happy and content. Addicts have a problem producing serotonin, and when they withdraw from drugs they get depressed, anxious, irritable and will return to drugs. Alcoholics sometimes experience intense cravings for Chocolate, I guess its related. Regardless of hypoglycemia or whether sweets are particularly desirable when high on heroin, sugar absolutely does not curb the need for heroin!!!! Only opiates/opioids will fulfill a heroin addict, no matter how tasty they think sugar is, they will still be in withdrawl. Medically sugar dose nothing to suppress heroin withdrawl.
Yes. I crave salt and sugar.
