Why do parents have to be so strict?

It's hard to blame them, though, when you hear about some of the nutty things that happen today. If you give your parents the benefit of the doubt, and cut them some slack now and then, they'll see that you are maturing and may be willing lighten up--- a little....

~Parents just care about their kids and trust me its usually for a good reason. Also if you have done things to make your parents not trust you that could be another reason, usually they loosen up when you get older.

~Parents want you to live with no regrets. Also parents get stressed out.

~Children may think parents are strict maybe because they don't allow you to go out to much or they won't let you do certain things. But really parents are just concerned about your safety. You may not realize it now but as you get older you'll understand. Whatever it is that you want to do, try to resolve it by asking you parents and tell them how it means to you.

not all parents are strict. a lot of times parents are strict is because they want their child to be safe and they might think if they say no to the fun stuff then their child won't be in danger. other times they might think their child is a menace so they don't want to get embarrassed by you (no offense because i am a kid still). maybe your parents might even want you to act like an adult even though you are a kid.
