because the false self gets drowned and the real abusive self emerges..therapy is a better choice then getting drunk or high or mood altered ALSO.... if the person gets drunk, he doesnt realize how much power/strength he or she has. Then basically their nervous system goes numb, and they think they are 'on top of the world'! That is why they drive faster than usual, dance a little wacky, and have slurred speech, oh and they hit or swing at things. And when that feeling is gone (after they are sober or in the morning) they have a headache or they have a bloddy nose from the fight they had earlier that morning or last night. Hope this answers your question!

Alcohol affects each person differently based on factors such as tolerance, personality, and mood. Some individuals may become more aggressive due to decreased inhibitions and impaired judgment, while others may become more giggly or relaxed as alcohol affects different areas of the brain. Additionally, underlying mental health conditions or past experiences can also play a role in how alcohol impacts behavior.

alcohol can lead to violence because you may think it is ok to drink it because it gives you energy but it doesn't it is bitter and it can get you out of control that you can punch somebody by accident but if you drank it is not an accident you can continue fighting until you are punched in the face then you are done but you have a possible chane of not dieing so please do not drink try some wine, coffe, tea ,or even some sparkling juice , or buble but not often plus don't smoke once you try it you will cough then become addicted to it and you may have some lost fingers , cances, or even a hole in your throught because doctors have to take out the cancer from there and it will be hard to talk, eat ,and clean it without you throwing in the hole or hurting yourself . Remember what I said !

Alcohol enters the blood stream and when it gets to the brain, it blocks the synapses in the brain causing strange behavior, fuzziness, and affects the emotions. Alcohol makes people more depressed, and for some more angry. They don't think and they get violent.

That's because of alcohol expectations. That is, people tend to behave while intoxicated as they expect to act.

You can learn much about this in the book, Drunken Comportment by Mac Andrew and Edgerton.

How to reduce violent behavior using cognitive dissonance theory?

To reduce violent behavior using cognitive dissonance theory, one could emphasize the inconsistency between holding violent attitudes or beliefs and non-violent actions. By creating awareness of this inconsistency, individuals may be motivated to change their behavior to align with their non-violent beliefs. Additionally, providing opportunities for individuals to express and reinforce their non-violent beliefs through positive attitudes and actions can help reduce violent behavior.
