Why do people find minecraft such a horrible game just because of the graphics even if they have not even played it?

It might just be their opinions. I personally think minecraft is a great game. You can build, survive, and explore the pre-generated map. The graphics aren't bad, although the default texture pack is pixel-y, and the game itself is block-y, but it was meant to be like that.
