Sea sickness is a form of motion sickness which occurs when the body receives a feeling of motion from the inner ear but cannot visually detect the motion (ie. the eyes tell the brain the body is still).
This results in the brain concluding the cause is hallucination due to ingested poison and consequently induces vomiting (or nausea) in an attempt to rid the body of the non-existent toxin.
