True. I was born and raised in the U.S. my parents were both born in Puerto Rico. The newer generation are the scum that hate us Puerto Ricans from the U.S. As one kid told me, the reason was, because we think we're better than them. I've been treated badly by the people here and harrassed. Especially when moving to this house. Yes, "gangstalking" is also done in Puerto Rico. Brightening, noise campaigns, slander, etc. I hate them with a passion. I will never come back here when I leave.

From my experience people are rude and materialistic, and their food isn't the best.

This coming from someone who is Puerto Rican. I love momma's cooking. So it depends who cooks what. I wouldn't say mom's cooking unhealthy. I do agree with how much I hate Puerto Rico. I can't wait to move in a few days. I will not visit this place ever again. The people here are racist against a Puerto Rican who was born in US.

I think people hate Puerto Ricans because we are very, very sarcastic people. We are people that only care about ourselves sometimes. We can also be very ignorant and very possessive because we like partys, etc. Also we think we are better than others sometimes and we are always making jokes and overall being happy.

In the not so early Hollywood era (40's - 50's), the Puerto Ricans that were known of in the United States, were those from New York. Yes, there were many that were gang related. This way of life was an easy way out of their economic misery. But, people tend to forget that there were also a many notable Puertoricans that migrated to the Big Apple and elsewhere. Among these, just to mention a few, were: Hernan Badillo (First. Puertorican to serve in Congress), Hon. Jose Cabranes (US Circuit Judge), Miriam Colon (movie & TV actress), Olga Mendez (New York State Senator), Chita Rivera (actress), just to mention a few. Hollywood has always been impressionistic. Everything it films is exagerated. Well, so they did with the Puertoricans in the movies. Just think, "Machine Gun" Kelly, Bonnie & Clyde, Al Capone, "Pretty Boy" Floyd, Timothy McVeigh, "Unibomber" Kaczynski, these weren't Hispanic. They were Americans. And nobody goes around saying, "Oh, I'm scared of Americans!" I rest my case ...
