Because they refuse to adhere to the unspoken laws of gaming. Camping is like littering, that little piece of trash won't make much of a difference by itself, but if everyone did it the world would be a very dirty place. Camping lends itself to boring games so people look down upon it. The assumption is that you have to camp in an arbitrary corner of the map because you're not skilled enough to face anyone 1 on 1 straight up. Oh, and let's be clear: camping is not the same as playing conservatively. There's a middle ground between running and gunning and camping.
