I doubt it cause that would not be normal for people do dream strange things before they die.

Some do, sometimes that person does not dream anything, but people around them do. Sometimes because of these dreams people get close to dying but do not diebecause something interferes, sometimes it can be prayers etc. I am not saying they did a study about it or anything but I haveve heard it happen to close relatives and friends so many times.

Yes, it seem likely that they do. We can not ask people who have actually died, whether they had any strange dreams just before dying, but we can ask people who came close to death and survived. Well-known dreams or hallucinations in these circumstances are often called "near-death experiences" or "out-of-body experiences". These are often so vividly real that the Survivor really believes that he or she experienced them.

Researchers have found similar experiences occur in patients with low blood sugar, oxygen deprivation, reduced blood flow or temporal-lobe epilepsy, even when death was not imminent. Another common factor that leads to "near-death experiences" can be the belief that one is dying.

note:

It seems self-evident that people dream strange things before they die; people dream strange things all the time. The challenge is to find a dream that makes perfect sense and that doesn't contain any strangeness at all. Human beings are psychologically well defended (in the sense of ego defense) and those among us who are not in possession of healthy ego defenses are usually mentally and behaviorally ill. Very few people get to have a "dry run" at death before the actual plunge, and most people would admit that the prospect of experiencing it is a cause for a little concern. That concern increases in frequency and intensity as we know that death is getting closer. We even pick up the subtlest things from the body language and vocal tone of friends, family and physicians. Some of these things help to inform us about approaching death, and help some of us to come to acceptance. Our egos seek wordlessly to make sense out of these later-life experiences, and our dreams can serve as a back-drop for some of this ego-defensive work. The dreaming process shuts down our waking inhibitions and logic processes, and some of the things that are on our minds can have free reign for a while; the mind processes in a new and often delightful way. In fact dreams sometimes offer to the dreamer a kind of peaceful resolution-- resolution that we didn't know we needed, to conflicts that we couldn't have put into words.

They had too much to eat before they went to bed

Other thoughts:

The images in your dreams arise from your subconscious and unconscious mind. Some dreams, perhaps most dreams, are indications that your sleeping mind is sifting through the events and experiences of the day. It's like clearing the daily clutter from your desk or from the kitchen counter. Other dreams indicate that your mind is working through particular problems. This might include matters from the past that you have not yet resolved.

Dreams use symbols and metaphors so that one thing represents something else. In the same way that the bald eagle represents the United States, a dream image like a house or a truck might represent the dreamer's life or job. Although the images in dreams seem bizarre, once one understands the symbols, they make very good sense. For example, one might dream that a little puppy began chasing a pickup truck, then grew huge and ate the truck. Pretty weird. But when one recognizes the puppy represents family life, and the truck represents work, the dream means that problems in the family are getting so big that they are overwhelming one's work.

Is it normal to have strange dreams?

There is no such thing as a normal dream. Any dream that one remembers or doesn't remember is strange but some dreams are strange in the same way. There are other dreams though that may be on a higher level of "strange". See most dreams come from the extra thoughts we had that day so when all of it is put together it turns out strange, this is normally what happens. But when your dreams are reallistic and have no obscure out of random thing happen and the story line is perfect then this would have to be a higher level of strangeness since most dreams dont happen that way.

Does eating before bed effect your dreams?

it depends on what you ate before you went to sleep. Although many people believe that eating certain foods before sleeping will cause strange dreams or nightmares, this is only partially true. Lots of people are sensitive to various foods which might cause gas or indigestion. It is the discomfort from this indigestion which is reflected in dreams. The food itself has no effect on dreaming.
