One cause is called "displacement." The kind of thing where you may have had a bad day at work or school, you come home and kick the dog. Usually it is out of frustration, so you take it out on something that can not fight back, or argue with you. In addition, some people are just plan sadistic in nature which usually stems from childhood development.

∙ 7y agoUsually through lack of knowledge and understanding of the animals they are hitting. What is considered bad or acceptable treatment of animals varies depending upon culture, education and race. Usually, the better the education of the people, the less really bad cruelty occurs.

They think that just cause the animals are not like us, they have the right to beat the sad animals.
Animals do not know what is wrong or what is right, when a dog or animal pees inside they dont know,your not home to take them out they cant help it!!
Animals are almost EXACTLY like us,you would not just beat the hell out of your daughter for peeing,would you?

∙ 11y agoThey are evil. Some people do it for financial reasons, while others do it for pure pleasure. I myself do not truly understand the reasoning behind this disgusting act, and never will. I was a vegetarian for quite a while and then became vegan, so I have done my research about these things. Some people have no capacity to love other humans let alone animals, and these acts also make them feel superior and in control of their own lives.

Yes because animals suffer just as much as people do and I believe that other people shouldn't think of themselves. Animals have feelings too and if they are abused it will scar them for life just like it will to us! Animals of all sorts shouldn't be hurt in any way! If you ever ever hurt an animal before you do which I DON'T recommend look in to the animals eyes and say why your going to kill the animal and then tell them their time is up and then imagine if you were in the animals place... you wouldn't like it very much.... SAVE ANIMALS!!
Why do people hert animals?
It's sad that people hurt animals, I'm not an animal abuser but some people like to hurt animals because they eather have nothing to do, to impress their peers, to make the animal do what they don't want to do, to get money, so they can luagh at something, because the animal did not do what the owner says, and a lot of other reasons. but, don't worry about it, people like that usually get cought :)
