Why do people over 19 get criticized if they watch only cartoons?

i am 19 and have never been criticized since i only watch anime but the people who do that are probably just thinking that it is immature content like they wathced when they were children however i wouldn't see that as the case as quite a lot of anime and Cartoons are made for older people to watch

∙ 6y agoIf they are watching cartoons aimed at adolescents, they are not addressing adult roles in life.
Obviously manga and anime (other forms of drawn and animated drama) is to the other extreme, being too surreal and not focused on actual modern society.

∙ 14y agoIts not i am 19 and watch only cartoons exept for heroes (which isn't exactly realistic either) but everyone just watches what they want to watch there is no reason for why it would be bad because its not

∙ 13y agoBecause people at 19 tend to watch realistic shows, and they need the experience they can get at that age. This doesn't mean stop watching cartoons, it means watch cartoons with realistic shows so that you have a variety of things to enjoy.

∙ 13y agoMost adults get criticized for watching cartoons all the time because some people believe that once they become adults, they cannot have any fun anymore like going to skating parks, water parks, clubs, museums or rollercoasters. In my opinion, people are their own selves and they can't be controlled by someone elses' opinions- that's why America is one of the best places on Earth because we are free for our religion, opinions, etc. Look at why Comedy Central made South Park, American Dad, Family Guy, and those other cartoons? It's because they want adults to be able to watch cartoons again- well, in adult humor. I hope this helps :)

Well I suppose it doesnt truly matter If you're bored and it just so happens ed edd and eddy are on and you just waste some time watching it.
I suppose it gets a bit weird when cartoon watching gets in the way of your job or personal relationships I guess :3

you can watch cartoons at any age. it doesn't matter how old you are. you can watch them at any age and that would still be o.k but if your truly embarrassed by it you can watch them and not tell anyone but either way it's still o.k to.
