Why does answerscom give vague and unhelpful answers?
There the Bad Users on here, People who are SPA's and Supervisor's and those type of things are trying to stop that type of thing here.
Can people put untrue facts about this website?
Certainly people can post bad answers and untruths. Most of the supervisors are pretty knowledgable in their areas and will invalidate or cancel bad answers.
How come answerscom is so bad?
There are several reasons that Answers might be bad. This could be because various people answer questions, and may not really know. It could also be due to many people thinking that it is funny, and they aren't answering seriously.
Why is Yahoo Answers a million times better than answerscom?
Well,according to me,the reason you love Yahoo!Answers are: 1.It has system of Points and levels. 2.Person who contribute more to Yahoo!Answers can become a top contributor. 3.Asker has an option to choose best answer to their question. 4.We can add contacts and fans their. But,Answerscom is not a bad site as well,in it,you can edit answers and questions,if you see a question posted in wrong category,you can post it to right category. But,you should also see that there are millions times more trolls on Yahoo!Answers than Wiki!Answers.Trolls are very annoying.
Can you sign up for answerscom without facebook?
At this moment in time - you need a Facebook account to sign up with Answers. When I joined Answers (in 2010) you didn't need a Facebook account - now - you do. From a personalpoint of view, I think it's a bad idea forcing people onto Facebook just to use this site - as some people (me included !) have no desire to put their personal information onto an (obviously) insecure website !I hope Answers reverses their decision to force people onto Facebook - it serves no purpose !

I'm afraid so. Some people can't be trusted. Vandals put bad answers on WikiAnswers.

Are there any really bad answers on this website?
Well, yes, there are. Answers.com allows anyone to post a question, and anyone to post an answer. Some are just bad answers, due to lack of knowledge of the person answering. Sometimes the person asking the question does not know how to frame the question. We also get vandals- people that think it is funny to give a "trash" answer on purpose. A number of us that are Supervisors here (volunteers) try to ride herd, and pull the really bad answers- but sometimes, some will get through. However, when we find someone doing that deliberately, we CAN remove THEM from the website.
why is it that people insist on answering question incorrectly and using their opinion as fact?
Because the majority of the people who use this site to answer questions do it to give themselves feel a false feeling of importance, and have no lives. I, of course, am an exception. My brilliant answers illuminate the universe! Rather than complaining about the quality of the answers that you read on this site (and some of the answers are truly horrible) why don't you take the opportunity to add to, or edit the bad answers, and post better answers. This is a group effort. If we do our part, there will be better answers.

some people on wikianswers think it is funny to put in wrong answers. we have supervisers that find bad answers and make them right.

Not all of them are bad. You have to remember, though, that anyone can answer a question. Many immature people do jump in and give silly answers or just plain wrong ones.
