Enrique was brought to Europe from the Philippines and became Magellan's slave. he went on the voyage around the world with them, and when Magellan died in the Philippines after going around South America, Enrique jumped ship and swam to an island in the Philippines, roughly the same place he lived before he was a slave. However, people think that Magellan was the first, even though he died before they made it, because he led the voyage.

In 1519, Magellan captained the first circumnavigation of the world, but died during the voyage in 1521 while battling natives in the Philippines. Only 1 of his 5 ships and 18 of his 250 men completed the journey back to Spain in 1522.
The three sites are correct. Ferdinand Magellan did notmake it to the Spice Islands himself. He was killed in the Philippines, which was before he reached the Spice Islands.Survivors from the voyage did continue to the Spice Islands and then on to Spain though.
