Some stay in miserable marriages because they are weak. Could be too that they have gained a lot of weight and rather than be alone they stay in a miserable relationship because they are very insecure about their futures. Maybe as well they have been put down a lot and are afarid of venturing back out into the dating world and or they have children and a miserable father is better than no father.
