Puppy mills are commercial mass dog-breeding facilities that put profit above the welfare of dogs. Most puppy mill dogs are housed in shockingly poor conditions, especially the ones kept in cages to be bred over and over for years, without human companionship and with little hope of ever joining a family. After they're no longer profitable, these dogs are simply discarded. Hundreds of thousands of puppies are born every year, adding to the pet overpopulation that fills our nation's animal shelters.
Puppy mills sell their "products" to unsuspecting consumers in pet stores, over the internet, and through newspaper classified advertisements. Many of these puppies have serious behavioral and health problems that might not be apparent for months-problems that can cost thousands of dollars to treat, if treatable at all.
Dogs are forced to breed over and over again. When they can't breed anymore they are abandoned or killed. Most drown the dogs because they don't want to waste the bullet. stop puppy mills by not buying from stores. adopting a dog from an animal shelter will improve its life and the money will not go to puppy mills.
very badly You don't want to know:(
You definitely do NOT want to buy a dog from a pet store. Most often they are from puppy mills. If you don't know what that is, go to http://www.aspca.org/fight-animal-cruelty/puppy-mills/what-is-a-puppy-mill.aspx A great place where you can get pets from former owners, trustworthy breeders, and humane societies, is at http://www.petfinder.com
Yes, they do. My vet told me that is NOT the place you would every want to get a dog from. He said alot of the time they are dieased, mis-treated, and sometimes means when they get there. He didn't say it in so many words, but he pretty much made it clear that puppy mills is where they came from!
It depends upon whether you want to have an adult lap dog. Whatever behavior the puppy gets used to and views as normal and acceptable will not stop once the dog ages. If you don't want a dog that jumps onto furniture or into your lap once it's grown, do NOT allow that to happen while it's a puppy. Always play with the puppy or pet the puppy at its own level - on the floor.
no you people why do you want to know
A shelter dog will be the best type. DONT BUY A DOG FROM A PET STORE!!! if you look up puppy mills online they are the last place you should get a dog because most of them have health problem. There are many shelter dogs that need homes and don't support puppy mills. support the shelters.
no you people why do you want to know
If you want the puppy to survive you will need to bottle feed him/her.
If you want to swap you go to the puppy hotel and hit "swap". Select the puppy you want in their care and then tap the one you want to take home. Or buy a puppy from the kennel and if you do not want a puppy anymore donate it at the hotel at the bottom.
If you want to buy a puppy you should go to a breeder or a rescue center. DO NOT buy a puppy from a pet store because most of those puppies are from puppy mIlls. Puppy mills are a form of animal abuse and they are terrible. The dogs dont get enough food and a lot of them are sick . So if you dont buy from pet stores the puppy mills will go out of buisness and you will have a healthier dog.
Puppy fat as in baby fat? Depends. If you don't try to stay healthy then you will have your "puppy fat" AND the rest of your body weight. But then again, if you are one of those people who want to stay healthy -or are one of those people who can eat whatever they want and not gain a pound-, your "puppy fat" will no longer be there. But like I said, it just depends on your body and how you treat it.
