Why do plants need chloroplast and the animal cells don't need it?

Plants need chlorophyll because that is what allows them to convert sunlight to energy they can use in their metabolism. People do not use chlorophyll, and so don't have it, because as animals we do not convert sunlight directly to energy. We eat plants, or other animals that eat plants, and use their energy.

∙ 14y agoPlants need chlorophyll created by the chloroplast. It helps in their photosynthesis and gives them their green color. We as animals do not use photosynthesis. Therefore, the chloroplast is irrelevant to our cellular structure.

Plants are still. they can only move with the direction of sunlight. thus, they need chloroplast to absorb the sunlight to convert into chemical energy to make food for their survival.
