Polar bears have black skin because they need all the help they can get to absorb the warm rays of the sun. Black absorbs more heat.
The black skin absorb the sun's rays and heats up the skin and bear. The coat isn't really white. It is clear.Yeah , it appears white but its not white. The black skin keeps the bear warm in the cold Northern Hem. The skin heats up the body for warmth instead of freezing.

They're black because that's how real polar bears are, only their fur is white (which often yellows over tiem).

Because they stick out like a sore nose on the Ice pack

The skin of the polar bear is black, something that is not easy to see. Its white fur actually allows light to reach this skin and the dark skin absorbs the heat from the sun, another adaptation of the polar bear to living in the extreme cold of the Arctic. The white fur of the polar bear is camouflage against the ice allowing them to blend into their environment and sneak up on their prey. This fur provides excellent insulation from the cold, even when they are swimming in the Arctic Ocean. The outer guard hairs form a layer that protects the inner fur from getting wet when the polar bear is in the ocean. These guard hairs are hollow and filled with air. Thus, they always have a layer of trapped air surrounding their bodies. After a swim they need only give a quick shake and they are nearly dry. There is also a thick layer of blubber that helps insulate the polar bear from the cold.

  1. Their whole body is white but their noses are black. So they camouflage their noses to prevent hunters from noticing them and hunting them down.

Polar bears have black skin, which allows the sun to warm them more than other colors. Their fur is not actually white, it's a bit clear, allowing the sun to filter through to the skin even more. One could also say that in an area with no shade, black noses don't get sun burned as much as pale noses would (domestick Dog Breeds with pale noses do have this problem with sun burn). However, so many animals around the world, even in tropical jungles, have black noses that it's a stretch to suggest the black nose any major survival impact on the survival of polar bears specifically.

Black noses help polar bears adapt to their environment because black absorbs heat. A polar bear has a big nose so it can smell prey miles away.

Which is larger the polar bear or the grizzly bear?

Firstly, we must look at the grizzly bear. The grizzly is an inland race of the brown bear, and is smaller than the polar bear on average. However, other brown bear races such as the Kodiak bear, are just as large or larger than polar bears. The Polar bear is the longest (up to 11 feet) but the Grizzly can outweigh them by 500 pounds and grow about 3 - 4 inches taller at the shoulder. So I would say the Polar bear.
