Science labs are really safe only because there are strict rules on safety. On of these is that goggles are worn in case hot things, sharp things or harmful substances, even left from a lesson before, find their way by accident into the eye.
You have one pair of eyes. They don't grow back, like your hair or nails, if they are damaged.

i ain't sure i had the exact same quastion for my science booklet -1.1 safety in science class, but i think that the whmis symbols define how is matirail dangerous and the safety symblos define how much is dangerous
