The ice on Mars is visible from Earth as white polar caps. This ice is perhaps mostly frozen CO2 (dry ice) but contains a substantial amount of water ice (H20) We know there is water ice there because water has a distinctive spectral and radar signature.
It isn't surprising that there is water ice on Mars. Water is one of the simplest and most common substances.
mars. now tell me why they think that?
Scientists have proven that liquid water once existed on Mars. Currently Mars is too cold and atmospheric pressure is too low for water to remain liquid, so both temperature and surface pressure must have been higher.
In the north and south poles of Mars there is water frozen.Comment: Yes, and there may be ice under the Martian surface too. Also there is probably a very small amount of water vapour in the atmosphere.
Ice has been found on Mars suggesting life may have once be there. In the ice, microbiological organisms were *reported*. However, there is no evidence of intelligent, multi-cellular life anywhere other than Earth.

There are traces of rivers but there has not been an actual discovery of water on Mars. Scientists think the water may be frozen underneath the polar caps.
None that is known. It has been suggested that there may once of been life on Mars, but most scientists think it is unlikely that there is any life there now.
Scientists still hope that Mars may have life of some kind; it would be an exciting discovery! Some reasons why Mars is unable to form EARTH life forms would be the lack of an oxygen atmosphere and the lack of water except possibly as ice in the polar regions.
Many scientists believe that Europa may hold water, or at least ice which could mean there is a possibility of life on one of Jupiter's moons.

It May be possible to live ON Mars as they have found Ice. But Probbebly not IN mars.
It may have oceans of liquid water under its layers of water ice. Scientists want to know if these oceans (assuming they are there) contain any forms of life.
Because its rocks clearly show that it once had oceans made of liquid water.
Many scientists believe that there may have been life on Mars, and some suggest that there might still be life frozen in Mars' ice caps. Mars seems to be the most hospitable planet in our solar system to life, other than the Earth.
The scientists think that Europa can have the life on it.
About 2 years. Scientists say it may take 1 year to get to Mars
