This is one way of finding out if the applicant had any bad record concerning finances. If the applicant cannot handle money, then it is likely that he or she may not be responsible and trustworthy to work in a company.

What companies will approve you for credit using your tax identification number only?

I am guessing you mean approve you so you can receive credit from their business. The answer is no businesses. The business you have a Tax ID for is just an result of your own personal credit. They need to know everything about your own credit history to grant you credit. To do this they will need your credit references and/or your social security number to run a credit check and make sure your credit is A-Number One.

How would a person know credit score?

A credit score is obtained by information in your credit history. It tells a lending institution how dependable you can be for paying back debt. Credit scores range from 1 to 9, and you do have the right to know what is written in your credit history. In Canada, you do this by contacting one of Canada's credit bureaus (either TransUnion Canada or Equifax Canada).

I just got a new credit card. I dont have any credit cards other then this one. If I cancel this credit card that is new with zero balance will it affect my credit score?

Everything you do related to credit cards will affect your credit. My advice would be to leave the credit card account open and here's why; While just cancelling your credit card (with no balance) shouldn't hurt your credit, here are a couple things to think about; 1) your credit history makes up 15% of your credit score. No history means no points. 2) your payment history is makes up 35% of your credit score. I know you said you don't have a balance, but an occasional purchase and on-time payment will help your credit. The only thing that could hurt you if have too much available credit. If the card has a $50,000 limit, this could work against your. But I doubt it, seeing this is your first card.

How much does your annual income have to be for a credit card?

You can start off building credit with Capital One; they have a VISA where you put up money of your own, and use the credit card similar to a debit card. Building credit history is the key. In the States even illegal aliens without social security numbers can get credit cards. Credit history is the key, lenders want to know you have a record of paying off your debts. Of course yearly income helps, as does history with a bank. Try getting a card with a bank you've had a relationship with for a while first. I've known people with salaries as low as $12,000 a year get credit cards.

How can your credit affect your employment?

Most people know that your credit report history can affect the rates you pay for mortgages and auto loans. Few people, however, are aware of how your credit history can affect employment. The majority of employers conduct a background check on their applicants and many screen for credit history. This used to be prevalent only in the financial sector, but it is a now widespread practice. A poor credit report history may signal to an employer that you are not trustworthy, are unable to manage money and may compromise the company. Before applying for a job, it is helpful to get a copy of your credit report history.

Can I use only my credit score to rent an apartment if my husband has a bad one?

Your credit score is one part of your rental application, and it's important to know that landlords will usually check all three credit bureaus when considering an applicant. If you have a low credit score, you may want to ask your husband to cosign on the lease with you. This will help improve your chances of being approved for the apartment you want.

For one, I know Bank of America has many small business credit card programs. A small business credit card is always better than using your personal card because the debt is tied to business assets instead of personal assets. Go to www.bankofamerica.com to see what they offer.
