Why do some Muslim countries not recognize Muslim country Kosovo?

It is due to political reasons. Some Muslim; as well as non Muslim; countries do not agree on allowing separatists to be separated and forming independent countries based on religion.
Some claim that the reason is that Islam does not recognize the whites. This is absolutely wrong and false claim. Islam; per Quran and prophet Muhammad (PBUH) teachings; is against racism and discrimination based on color, gender, culture, or language or whatsoever. This false claim may be due to confusion between Islam and what is called Nation of Islam (NOI) which is not related at all to main stream Islam and followers of the NOI are not considered true Muslims or even Muslims per Quran and prophet Muhammad teachings.
