People don't always stay in the country they were born in. It's called emigration. Other people born to Asian parents in that country will then be full-blooded Chinese or Korean or whatever other nationality their parnets were, but will also be Portugeuse citizens. Combine this many times over - and especially given that minorities tend to stick together in groups with their own clique - and you get people who are entirely of Asian descent, yet have ancestors who haven't been in Asia for a hundred years.
